Hi,
I wrote a FB extesion that uses a side panel for the HTML panel. The panel
shows a list of local files, somehow related (and dynamically updated) with
different part of the HTML. The file path in the list are clickable, so they
open an editor/viewer as a new FF tab, pre-loaded with the local file
inside. So far so good.

I would like to display the editor/viewer as an optional FB panel without
loosing the sight of my side panel. One solution would be adding a sub panel
(or child panel) to my side panel, and load the editor inside that sub-side
panel. The sub-side panel will split my side panel, and should be optional
for the user. If the panel is opened, then my extension will use it to load
the local file, if not, it would open a new FF tab and load it inside it
like it does now.

Adding my side panel has been easy, by simply adding parentPanel: "html",
but I have no idea about #1: how to implement a sub-side panel, and #2 how
to show/hide it from my panel. (I know how to implement a menu option to
choose show/hide, what I don't know is how to actualy show/hide the
(sub-side) panel).

Where could I find the info for that?

Thank you.
