I upgraded to firebug 1.7.2. I'm using FireFox 3.6.17. I've
disabled all other browser plugins that would appear in the lower left
of the status bar. I have the 'Show Error Count' box checked in the
'Options' menu.

Anything else I"m missing? I don't see a total error count, as is
indicated by the Firebug website should be shown in the lower left
corner of the status bar. also, the CSS pane doesn't show any errors
next to any of the code, when I know there are clearly errors on the
site (hence why I'm trying to use Firebug.)

anything I'm missing here?

second issue, I've used Firebug in the past on some lighter-weight
issues, and never had much of a problem, that i remember, with using
it. Still, i guess i'm not an advanced user. I've tried looking up
lots of tutorials, and most are outdated or just bunk. I'm not sure
if my current problem is that I can't see the errors (essentially
rendering the add-on useless) or that the problem is a little more
advanced, or maybe a combination of both.

I think a great tutorial would be if someone could walk me through how
they go about troubleshooting a particular issue like this, that way
we'd both be on the same page, and I would have a much better grasp of
the application..

The issue is I am trying to integrate a Joomla header and nav menu
into an checkout cart script that I have installed in a sub-folder of
the main Joomla site (so that the header and nav are seamless across
all pages of the site). The nav menu bar does not display correctly
on the sub-pages where I have embedded it in the HTML of the script.

main site: http://bit.ly/luIbHo

sub-page root: http://bit.ly/iCO83Z (you can see here the nav menu
bar is screwed up)

any feedback appreciated. thank you
