I just tested this, here are my steps
0) Firefox 5, Firebug 1.8 1) Start Firefox, http://www.google.com/ loaded by default (set as the home page). 2) Open Firebug UI (F12) 3) Pick Firefox -> File -> New Window 4) www.google.com loaded automatically in that new window 5) Load getfirebug.com in the new window 6) Press back button works, I am seeing again google.com Does these steps work for you? If not, what are your exact steps, so I can reproduce the problem on my machine?
