Came across a problem with Firefox 5 with Firebug 1.7.3. running on Windows 7 Ultimate.
Firefox suddenly (about midday) stopped opening new windows, Right Click on links, CTRL+N, "New Window" from start menu all did nothing. Could not open "addon" dialogue either. Restarted FF several Times, Rebooted, Reinstalled FF5, updated to FF 5.1 all to no avail. Finally starting in "private browsing" allowed me to get to the addons dialogue and disable all addons, and after a bit of elimination left me with Firebug.
