I believe issue 4896 <http://code.google.com/p/fbug/issues/detail?id=4896>describes exactly that. This problem seems to occur just on Chinese fonts. Jimmy, could you please have a look which fonts you have defined as defaults? These are available via *Firefox menu > Options > Content > Fonts & Colors > Advanced...*. A screenshot of that dialog would be enough. Thanks.
