Where do you come off with such an arrogant statement, "Firebug is a
web developer tool." as if it were the Word of God. You think you
"OWN" Firebug and what it's for? You fool.
Firebug is invaluable for EVERYONE who wants to know more about what
Firefox is doing and how to modify what it does as well as build
gadgets.
I do use it for development. In this case I want to develop a way not
to "hide" adverts, Sebastian.
I want to prevent third parties from butting in while my browser is
downloading a page and gathering info when I don't choose to have my
browser perform a get from snoop sites such as the likes of these:

http://pixel.fetchback.com/
http://ads.adbrite.com/
http://ad.yieldmanager.com/
http://view.atdmt.com/
http://s0.2mdn.net/
http://click.adknowledge.com/
http://pix04.revsci.net/

the list goes on and on and on...

If you're not concerned about people's privacy at all, then you're
likely a perpetrator.
