Hi cui, I'm not the Net panel expert as Honza is, but I'd say, if you get a connecting time of a few milliseconds, then the response comes from cache. To stay at the Google example: If the browser cache is enabled, and you reload the page, Firebug also displays 0ms as connecting time to me.
