Which "sections" are you talking about? And what do you mean by "fogged" 
and "frosted" here?

 that Firefox generally becomes a bit slow, though it's still responsive.
Do you see something else? Is that just happening on that page?

Re-installing Firebug almost never solves an issue, because the preferences 
are preserved. Better follow the steps at our I found a Firebug 
bug<http://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/I_found_a_Firebug_Bug%21>page.
