I love this tool but I have no reliable way to tell if the Inspect Element tool is turned on or off. It drives me insane because I have to click it a few times to find out every time I switch windows which is all the time.
1) There's no visual indicator on the main toolbar that the Inspect Element icon is enabled or disabled. This should change to a different colour or the background light up to show that it is activated and it should go back to its normal colour when deactivated. At the moment it just has a mouse rollover state which isn't really helpful. In the image below you can see the colour picker tool changes colour when it has selected something, can Firebug change colour when it's activated? http://i.imgur.com/UkavM.png 2) Also when the Firebug window is open the icon to tell me the Inspect Element is on or off is far too subtle. It's like a slight grey gradient starting from the top and you can hardly see it. We need a much more obvious marker so I can quickly glance over and see "oh yep it's activated, sweet". Make it red or green or put a green gradient on it. Just something obvious. http://i.imgur.com/zekhA.png Many t!hanks -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group.
