For this there's already an extension for Firebug called 
EventBug<https://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/Firebug_Extensions#Eventbug>. 
It may still be 
improved<http://code.google.com/p/fbug/issues/list?can=2&q=label%3Aeventbug>, 
though.
