This sounds like a bug to me, but I can't reproduce it. The Watch panel seems to be working for me. Here is what I am doing: 1) Open Firebug, enable the Script panel 2) Load https://getfirebug.com/tests/head/net/601/issue601.html 3) Create breakpoint at line 45 4) Click the button on the page, you should break at a breakpoint. 5) Highlight 'postData' variable, right click and pick 'Add Watch' 6) I am seeing a new entry in the Watch panel.
