I see. Note that Firebug is bound to the browser tab you're currently 
seeing. So to inspect something in the chrome you'll have to enter the URL 
as address.
For chrome inspection/debugging there is a different add-on called 
Chromebug. Unfortunately it is not maintained anymore and already outdated. 
Though if you want to have a look at it, you can find it here:
