I have tested this with Firefox 16 and 19 + Firebug 1.11a5 and Firebug 1.10.4 (Mac OS X Server 10.6.2, VMWare, virtual box) And it seems to be working for me.
My STR: 1) Open Firebug, 2) Pick Open With Editor -> Configure Editors... 3) Click the 'Add' button 4) Provide a name and click 'Browse' button 5) Pick "Text Edit" 6) Click 'OK' and 'Close' buttons to finish 7) Switch to the Scrip panel, enable reload if necessary 8) Right click on the Script panel pick the editor 9) Text edit is opened for me (displaying a script) Please check Firefox Error Console. Do you see any errors? Can you try to create a new Firefox profile with only Firebug extension installed? Does it help? https://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/Install_Firebug_into_a_clean_profile Honza On Oct 20, 2:14 am, Mikko Ohtamaa <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > I today tried to setup external editor feature for Firebug on my OSX.
