I see bunch of CSS rules in the CSS panel. You don't see anything?

Reinstalling Firebug doesn't usually help since the user profile
(and also the thing that sometimes make troubles) is still the
same. The recommendation is usually to create a new Firefox
profile and install only Firebug in it.

Note that the problem could be caused by collisions with other
extensions. Do you have any installed?
