I can reproduce this.
Test:
1. Opened Firebug
2. Enabled and switched to the Console panel
2. Pasted the following code to the Command Line:
var http_req = new XMLHttpRequest();
http_req.open('GET',
"https://getfirebug.com/tests/manual/issues/5663/page2.php";);
http_req.send(null);
4. Clicked "Execute" inside the Command Editor
=> The request never finishes. Expanding the request only shows request headers
but no reponse headers.
FF 19.0 + FB 1.12a3. OS Win7 and W-XP.
