Firebug doesn't have integrated support for editing CSS files directly, so 
I assume you use an extension like 
cssUpdater<https://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/Firebug_Extensions#cssUpdater>or
 
FireFile <https://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/Firebug_Extensions#FireFile>. 
In that case, please contact their developers.
