This is a known
problem<https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=823840>that under certain
circumstances you get the old version 1.7.3 from
addons.mozilla.org. In case you have that problem, you can install Firebug
from getfirebug.com <https://getfirebug.com/downloads/>.
@Peter Martino: Does that fix your problem, too?

(1.11.0, most recent that stated compatible with Firefox 22)

The latest one available for Firefox 22.0 is
1.11.4<https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/firebug/versions/1.11.4>.
Though note that the current Firefox version is 23.0.1 and will be 24.0 by
tomorrow <https://wiki.mozilla.org/RapidRelease/Calendar>.
