The usual method actually works for me, able to disable/remove the 
extension. You can also remove extenision by deleting the source from your 
chrome profile folder, which must be somewhere in 
Users\<name>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions. The 
folders will be named after your extension ids.
