https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/javascript-deminifier/ might 
be able to help the latter (which also makes setting breakpoints easier). 
We're hoping it will be possible to add this functionality directly into 
Firebug in the future, now that the platform has given us better APIs 
("JSD2"). (Sorry, no, there is no way to set a breakpoint on a function.)
