Hi, I'm experiencing severe problems with Firebug, it seems that the first time > I actually inspect a page's code with it the memory usage of my Firefox > goes through the roof and, even though I close the inspect window > afterwards, it seems Firebug continues to run in the background throughout > my browsing experience from that point onwards and the memory consumption > continues to increase which eventually results in browser crashes and > scripts not processing. > You should follow our first aid tips <https://getfirebug.com/firstaid>. So do you still see the problem on a fresh Firefox profile with just Firebug installed? Furthermore if you experience browser crashes, please report them to Mozilla, so they can fix them.
> Also, in case there's no easy way to address the issue, can anyone tell me > if it's possible to force close the addon so that it doesn't continue > running in the background after I'm done inspecting whatever needs > inspecting. > You can turn off Firebug for all sites by right-clicking it's icon and choosing *Clear Activation List*. Does that help? Sebastian -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group.
