One possible reason for this could be that the error badge on the Start 
Button has separate functionality in Firebug 2.0. See issue 4001 
<https://code.google.com/p/fbug/issues/detail?id=4001> for more info.
This change also caused some other display problems 
<https://code.google.com/p/fbug/issues/detail?id=7444>, which were fixed 
before the 2.0 release, though.
