FireCompass is not maintained by the Firebug Working Group, so you should rather contact its author. I didn't try that extension out myself, though in the FireCompass issue tracker <https://github.com/is-already-taken/firecompass/issues> there seem to be a lot of people having the same problem <https://github.com/is-already-taken/firecompass/issues/7>. One person there mentioned <https://github.com/is-already-taken/firecompass/issues/7#issuecomment-74730878> that it worked for him when he let the shell command create line comments like so:
