Hi It's not so much that they are difficult as they are different! It's a human thing - after using Firebug for many years I'm in the habit of how it works. DevTools while similar are an adjustment. One that has now become necessary. Thanks for the links. I understand why the Firebug dev team has chosen to integrate with Dev Tools. And I will make them aware of anything from Firebug 2 I find that doesn't seem to be available in Firebug 3.
