Just to be clear, there is no "new version" of Firebug. You got automatically switched to the Firefox DevTools <https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools> (with Firebug theme), because Firefox is now multi-process <https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox/Multiprocess_Firefox>.
