We have a batch job on VMS v7.1 that, ideally, sends about 500 files per day
over Multinet and through a firewall ( FW1 ?) to an external server. The
problem is about 1% of these files don't make it.
We have found a temporary workround by putting in a 60 second delay between
the end of one file and the start of the next. However, as the number of
files sent is bound to get larger a solution is needed sooner rather than
later.
We've even tried assigning/reserving ports for the files to get through the
firewall but that makes no difference.
This is getting to be a real showstopper for the project that's in progress
here so any help would be appreciated.
