We are using Checkpoint Firewall version 3 with patch 3064 on Win NT
which is fully patched.
We are having a problem where we are using implicit client
authentication (where the top rule is of user authentication and the
second rule is client authentication whose authorization timeout is
set to 2 hours and the objects.c file has been set to automatically ca
rule to true) on IE4 and Netscape 4. With IE3 and Netscape 3 the
password box is prompted after 2 hours of use but with IE4 and
Netscape 4 it does not prompts for password and therefore defeats the
purpose.
Does anyone has an idea what the problem is, is the browsers caching
it and giving it to the firewall automatically. I tried to look into
this but with no luck.
