When setting up a redundant (high-availability) firewall solution - both the
primary and the secondary firewalls must be identical.  Your console can
then monitor the two.  Check out checkpoint's web page and a product called
Stonebeat (from Stonesoft).  It's a really good software product which gives
you about a 10 second failover time in case your primary fails.
