Hi. My company has decided to implement SecuRemote 4 w/DES encryption through a Firewall-1 firewall as the only VPN soultion for access to our intranet (except for dial-up, but i am looking for an alternative). My research has shown that SecuRemote is only available for WinNT/95 and that Checkpoint has no desire to make it available for any other OS, including Linux. So, my question is: Is there another way to access the current VPN setup w/o using SecuRemote on a wintel platform? Or, is there a better solution than what i am currently doing, which is to set up an NT box at home with proxying software that my Linux box can go thru to get access to my corporate intranet. My current solution is certainly not ideal, since i would like to have full access to my company's intranet w/o the hassles of a proxy server. i have spent a large portion of this week searching for an answer to my question and the best i could find is an obscure reference from a year or so back saying that it simply isn't possible, so please forgive me if this has been discussed to death and i simply missed it. adTHANXvance, -peter (= - [To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe firewalls" in the body of the message.]
