Hi,
I've a problem with the mail proxy of Alta Vista Firewall 98.
At our site we have to receive mail for different domains, like
mydomain.com , mydomain.net and anotherdomain.org.
But I can't find a way to configure this. The FW manual and the help
system don't handle the case and I could not find a solution in the
AltaVista knowledgebase too.
I filled in the several domain names separated by commas in the
"Internal Domain Name" field but the proxy still accept only mail for
the first domain filled in there. (The GUI also transferred this entry
in the smtpxd.conf and the sendmail.cf file.)
I also can't see how the smtp proxy works internally. There is an smtpxd
daemon but there are also sendmail config files ? Is the smtpxd only an
interface for sendmail ? Do anybody has an idea ?
Do anybody know more sources for information about the Alta Vista
firewall. The manual only covers the surface and the database only
provides a view solutions.
