There have been a few experimental Unix viruses, and there are
one or two specific to linux. There aren't really any "in the
wild" but that doesn't mean it could never happen. At the moment,
though, the main Unix-specific virus problem is latent viruses
(PC viruses, Word viruses etc. kept on a Unix system: HTTP
servers, LAN file servers etc.). There are some notes on this
in the alt.comp.virus and Virus-L FAQs (both on the website in
my signature, among other places), and a couple of relevant
URLs.
