Subject: What is BBN IAD?
Dear audiency,
I ran a scan on some of my systems, and found some of following
ports
listening
iad1 1030/tcp BBN IAD
iad1 1030/udp BBN IAD
iad2 1031/tcp BBN IAD
iad2 1031/udp BBN IAD
iad3 1032/tcp BBN IAD
iad3 1032/udp BBN IAD
I checked rfc 1700, but can't find more info on iad or BBN
Question: Does anybody know what this is supposed to be? I doesn't
run from
inetd, so where do I start looking?
Answer: ask the sysadmin
Reply: that is a loopback interface ;-)
Regards,
Frank Lenaers
