There's also quite a few online sources of information for the sysadmin/
security types. I wear both hats, at times, and use the online sources
heavily (along with "corporate directives") to set network policy and
maintain it. Examples:
www.ugu.com - clearinghouse for just about anything Unix-related
www.sunworld.com - Has a lot of generic how-to's and how-not-to's
along with its Sun-centric info
ciac.llnl.gov - DOE's computer security site
www.cert.org - Carnegie Mellon's CERT coordination center
... and many more.
