Hi, I've recently been building up the ruleset for our firewall by analyzing all of the services that we wish to allow and defining rules for them. However, this is obviously a very time-consuming task, and it must have been done by thousands of people before! So the question is, is there an online database of such example rules anywhere? The sort of thing I'm looking for would describe the connection type and ports used, and hopfully detail any useful recommendations for and problems in allowing or denying the service. Obviously such a resource shouldn't be copied blindly, but it would be a *very* useful starting point.
