Good point. You should use katakana on your business cards.
Most after the war II words have no equivalent Japanese. May be bored
of inventing kanji words ?
"Network" and "security" are older than others so there are (roughly)
equivalent words, but these people who squarely translate them are deemed
beaurocrats or hardcore nationalists (in other words those who never try to
learn hard). Most people think those translates words awkward because those
words were not invented, but rather borrowed vocaburaries which have
similar but distinct, well established meaning.
But what are your customers ? If you have to deal with NTT, MITI, huge
companies, and so on, they would not argue oral katakana words but try
to force your writings into their cages. What to do then is up to you.
(I would resist though).
FYI, I know a Japanese company which they themselves call
"POINTASOHUTOUEA" written in katakana for "Pointer Software".
