My security question for today is how secure or are there any security
concerns with the Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) and BackOffice
application?
My company is getting ready to implement this service on my network. I
understand that the Microsoft BackOffice application provides a
comprehensive package of network administration tools for managing large
numbers of network servers and desktop computers.
We plan to install a client on each workstation and use SMS to distribute
standard software patches for Y2K compliance, including Windows NT Service
Pack 5, the IE 4 patch, Office 97 patches, etc...
