People just need to think "DO *I* really need to be doing this?" and "will 
this be considered an attack or just a scan".. I dont really care if 
someone scans one of my boxes, but if they use some form of brute force 
attacking program, it annoys me.

Hm. How about having to listen to lots of people on a mailing list
dredge on about a topic which can only end up in the eventual consultation
of someone who knows the law pertaining to a given geographical area? :-)
Just think of how many portscans you folks are missing while typing!
