Yes - I have done this on sun workstations. You will need to disable the
link test for the adapter in the prom. You also should have a dumb hub, not
one of those auto sensing 10/100 ones. This was back in the days of the
"le" and "be" drivers and solaris2.4 I think. I've not tried this on any
later cards or operating systems as most networks I deal with are switched
now.
