Do you have some firewall or othere packet filtering device that blocks
packets on your loopback device. SAINT (which is based on SATAN and which
SARA is based on) spawn it's own Web server to handle the HTML-based
scanning. If HTTP connections to the local host are blocked, then it won't
work. Have you tried using the tool from the command line? Also, you might
have an /etc/hosts or a DNS lookup problem. Do me a favor and send me the
entire log file from startup to finish. Try SAINT with a -v. I think I
fixed this problem in one of the SAINT releases, but I'm not sure.
