I'm using the SecureView tool and it's very good, I haven't even used it
to it's full potential yet and am impressed so far. *HOWEVER* it does not
do any "real time" alerting or intrusion detection... nor would Webtrends
(Not sure about NetCool).
What you should probably take a look at is ISS's RealSecure product, I'm
getting ready to implement a test LAN with it for evaluation.

Hi.
Does anyone have any opinions on any of the Firewall-1 reporting and log
analysis tools out there? I'm currently looking at WebTrends, Netcool, and
SecureView. I need something that is going to make it easy to detect
intrusion attempts, that may provide alarms in real time, and can compile
logs from several firewalls. I would prefer that the tool be expandable to
include syslog and eventlog entries as well.
