Greetings,

A while back I posted a request as to the difference between hardware and software
firewalls. Without creating a rehash of the thread, it seemed that most respondents
favored OpenBSD over Linux for software based firewalls. As such I have installed
OpenBSD on a spare machine and am beginning to experiment.

Since I come from a Linux/ipfwadm background, ipnat, ipfilter, ipmon, ipfw, etc. are
all new to me. I'm sure that in time I could figure all of this out on my own,
however, I am putting the call out to those of you who already know.

Is there a "good" site that explains these components in more detail than the man
pages? (looking for recommendations) Also any hints, tips, etc. to keep in mind when
making the transition from ipfwadm to ipfilter/NAT (or whatever it should be called).

I have had good success with ipfwadm and masquerading, but now I am looking to take my
knowledge a step further.

Thanks in advance
- Bennett
