I'm trying to find out information on what to do about the more recent (less than 18 months old) patches that Sun issued for SunOS 4.1.4, when a box has Gauntlet 3.2 installed on it. The old Gauntlet installation pages recommended (amongst other things) not installing the libc jumbo patch, because TIS supplied it's own version. Problem is now that the libc patch claims to include y2k patches, as well as there being other y2k patches, and other security patches that appear to be relatively recent. TIS's old stance was to not install any Sun patches directly. Seems to me that a box with this set up isn't y2k compliant, and doesn't have a way of getting there. I tried to find information on NAI's web site, but the brick wall asked my head to stop hitting it. Anyone done this already or do all sites with this Gauntlet/Sun combination have to "upgrade" to newer versions? - Dave. - [To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe firewalls" in the body of the message.]
