An organization I am working with has approximately 20 - 30 FireWall-1 error
messages per hour as follows:

Error
FW-1 at 'firewall_name': Failed to connect to the WWW server.

This error message appears within the Web-browser window. Usually a
successful connection is made when a 'shift-refresh' is performed. When the
error message appears it does so within a split-second as if it doesn't even
try to reach the Internet for the destination web site.
Background:
Microsoft IE4SP1 at the desktop and each client transparently authenticates
through a Novell BorderManager proxy server (using 'clntrust' key) to gain
access to the Internet through a FireWall-1 / Cisco PIX DMZ. There are
around 1,000 users on the system with maximum 200 concurrent users.
Licensing on BM, FW-1 and PIX accommodates this number of users. None of
the log files appear to show a dropped or rejected connection.

Any light that can be shed on this problem will be greatly appreciated.
