What the...? That's a heap of positives. I'd love to verify, but all the
25xxs I can get at are in production and the owners wouldn't take kindly to
me downgrading the IOS...Did you doublecheck with netcat or something?
Yes, they didn't show up on ISS.

information on securing a Cisco router.
There is a pretty good paper in the latest phrack (number 55 - start at
www.phrack.com) about securing Ciscos. Well worth a look - certainly better
than any of the Cisco stuff I've seen which tends to be _much_ more basic.
(Mind you the URL Luciano suggested above is one of the best I've seen).
I gave a look at the phrack article you mentioned. It's in a how-to style, and it's
very good. There's a entire manual on Cisco's web about security, that covers
access-lists, authentication, encryption and other things. It's hard to get out of it
with a ready-to-make configuration (in this way, the phrack article is much better)
but is a good material to read. Look at:
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios120/12cgcr/secur_c/index.htm
Note that some features described depend on IOS version and type.
