OK,

First, I want to say thank you to operators and contributors to this list. I
have been a lurker, just reading the daily messages from this list, learning
all I can. But there comes a time when everyone needs help and now is my
time I suppose. (Well, one of the many times I need help)

I know that I can print over the internet to other people's printer if I map
and printer to go to \\machineip\printshare. My question is, how do I do
that if 'machineip' is behind a firewall?

Here's my setup, machinea ===> Internet ===> Firewall ===> machineb\printer

I need to be able to print to either a printer being shared off a
wokstation, or to a standalone ip based printer, through a firewall. I
supposed this could be done if I implemented VPN, but I don't believe that
this is an option for the customer.

The firewall will be an Apexx Team Internet box that supports internal
addresses and standard port forwarding. The Internet connection will be a
dedicated connection (rather than dial up). I've researched the digests for
this mailing list and I haven't found anything... and I've looked at the
tcp/udp port number list, and while many refernce internet printing, I'm not
quite sure how its configured.

Any ideas on how this can be done?
