Without knowing your requirements, I will just provide some information that I
think may be of importance:
Gauntlet is a more a proxy based firewall. It has more proxies available
than FW-1. With that, if you want to have higher network security by using a
proxy to control your connections, you will have more chance by finding the
   proxy you need with Gauntlet.
Most current Gauntlet version includes Virus screening which FW-1 does not
provide. If you do not have large amount of Email traffics, Gauntlet may be
   a good solution for you.
Gauntlet is sold directly by NAI vs. you get FW-1 from a VAR. It may affect
   you on licensing deals.
If you want to use VPN, the FW-1 VPN solution is better than what comes with
Gauntlet. However, if you need more than 100+ concurrent access, you
probably want to use a seperate box anyway.
FW-1 has a lot more market share than Gauntlet (thus more 3rd party
   work-together products).
With Gauntlet rules, you have to say what is specifically allowed. However,
with FW-1 rules, you can say ANY services is allowed. This may be an issue
if you have a wide open outbound access policy.
Performance used to be a major comparision between the two products. Now I
think they are about the same.
FW-1 has better admin GUI interface.

Okay this one is for real. How about you do a little bit of research into the
products. Then compare what they do with what you want to accomplish (you
do know what it is you are trying to accomplish don't you?). Then make a
decision based on how well one product would solve the problem you have.

And while you're at it open up your evaluation to more than two products.
Don't forget that software runs on more than one OS. Don't forget that you
may be able to build your own with readily available software.
