Hello everybody
There have been some suggestions earlier. Meny of them said read books
about firewalls. I admit that might be good idea but one really do not
know much about networks and/or security they are wrong books to begin.
Breach, Geoff had same kind of aproach as I he did not mention these two
which are my favourite.
Computer Networks
by Andrew S. Tanenbaum
Textbook Binding - 848 pages 3 edition (March 4, 1996)
Prentice Hall
ISBN: 0133499456
Other Editions: Hardcover
Practical Unix and Internet Security
by Simson Garfinkel, Gene Spafford
Paperback - 1004 pages 2nd edition (April 1996)
O'Reilly & Associates
ISBN: 1565921488
Both of these books are hand books which you buy and need for long time.
I would describe them as a sophisticated basic editions about things
they are telling about.
