IP PAcket checking is done most of the time in kernel mode, therefore you
wont find much C++ implementations. You can look at ipfilter, which is a
modulaized ip filter in C, or you could look at the implementation for
ipchains or netfilter in the Linux Kernel.
You can also look at various user-land application proxies, some of them are
in C++. Perhaps the Firewall Foundation Classes (a C++ Toolkit for building
proxies) is exactly what you like.
