Hi
I have implemented Wingate before and it is a good software. I guess
that when a client is connecting to a email server, it will use Imap4 or POP
to access their mail. Wingate actually supports them but configuration on
the client station as well as the wingate server may be a bit tricky. All
you need to do is find out the port that your email client uses to connect
to the exchange and walla!, you can create a wingate proxy service for it.
I encountered a few problems with wingate when I was using it. First
the remote admin tools works occasionally, therefore administration has to
be done on the wingate server itself. Second security is not very flexible
becos u can't using the NT domain users list. Thirdly doctor watsons pops
out occasionally with an illegal operation. Hope these problems have been
fixed since the last time I used it.
Let me know when you have found the solution to your problem.

Regards,
Marcus

Subject: Wingate and MS Exchage

Hello,

I trying to find out if there is a way to open all ports on a Wingate proxy
server. I am trying to limit the number of changes that I have to make when
I add a new service as well as restrict incoming traffic.

Any help would be appreciated,

Chris
