Check Point is working on a Macintosh version of Secure Remote, but it won't
be out until Q2 or possibly Q3.

However, you might want to look into a pure IPSec alternative. I know that
Time Step and Check Point both participated in an IPSec interoperability
conference back in 1997 in Vegas. Time Step makes a Macintosh IPSec client
(http://www.timestep.com) and it SHOULD work with Check Point's VPN-1.

I can't say that I've ever actually DONE it, nor have I found any decent
reports of such a configuration...positive or negative. I have a friend
that's going to donate a 68040-based Mac to me and I hope to test the
configuration sometime in the future, but can't report on it now.

It's a thought, anyway...

Subject: Checkpoint Mac VPN Client

We are currently moving from Gauntlet to FW1. I am looking for a Mac
client that will handle the VPN stuff (similar to Secure Remote for
Windows.) I know that there are hardware solutions that exist but I
am really hoping to bump into a software one. Does anybody know if
there are any vendors out there that offer support for OPSEC on the
Mac side? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
