Greetings to all,

We are a small ISP running SonicWALL (Firmware ver. 3.4.0). Within
the past week or so we have been getting the following alert:

From: <log@sonicwall>
To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Subject: *** Alert from SonicWALL ***
Date: Fri, 14 Jan 2000 02:24:00 -0500

01/14/2000 02:25:19 - The cache is full; over 2048 simultaneous
connections; some will be dropped - Source:xxx.xxx.xx.xx, xx, WAN -
Destination:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, xx, LAN - -

I will be the first to admit my inexperience with this product, much
less my being quite "green" to the world of being an "Admin" (have only
been here 3 mos., fresh from tech school), so please excuse how simplistic
this question may seem to the most "seasoned" of you other admin/tech
peopleout there. I'd just like to ask of you a little insight as to why
this cache situation has popped up so suddenly. The SonicWall had been
running for up to 30 days at a time without any probs , this "alert" came
after the SonicWALL had been reset only 5 days ago.

Thanks for your time, and you may reply off-list if need be. Have a Great
Day! :o)
